Jesse Castor is an artist living and working from her home in South Philadelphia. She graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 2022 with a focus in printmaking. Since then she has volunteered with local print shops including Second State Press, where she helped organize classes and workshops for the public that sought to teach beginners how to use traditional printmaking techniques in ways that could be adapted for home studios. Her intentions are based on wanting to use materials in a thoughtful and intuitive way. Relying on the nature of the medium itself to influence the subject her work invites change. Time, memory, and impermanence are as much a part of the process as ink or paper.
